A week long day camp in August, for children ages four

through thirteen, with Type 1 Diabetes.

Panther Day Camp is held at Camp Berachah located in

Black Diamond near Auburn, WA.

The camp experience allows children with Type 1 Diabetes to meet

other children with diabetes and talk with adults who have grown up with diabetes.

Diabetes education is an important part of Panther Day Camp, however, the

emphasis is on having fun, building friendships and sharing common concerns.

Presently there is no cure for diabetes, but with medical supervision, exercise,

healthy eating and insulin, a full and active life-style is possible.http://www.dapc.info/Becky%20w%20feet.JPG
